Ms. Duran has recently transitioned from her role of paraprofessional in Upper School Academy at LHS. As well as being a Lawrence High School alumna, Ms. Duran graduated with her BA in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. Her background involves working closely with the special education students. She has a passion for helping students with their academic success and advancement during and after high school. Ms. Duran looks forward to connecting with students and families in the early college program.

Francina Escolastico has over 17 years of experience in education, dedicated to supporting students and families. She holds a BA in Marketing and an MA in Management.
As the mother of two Lawrence High School graduates who joined Early College programs, Francina has seen their positive impact on students’ futures. She believes these programs save time and money, and help students develop time management, adaptability, and an understanding of college-level expectations.
She is a strong advocate for meaningful collaboration between families and schools, knowing that when educators and parents work together, students are best positioned to achieve both academic and personal success.
Meet Mr. Gonzalez (Mr. G), your dedicated Early College Student Support Specialist. As a first-generation college graduate, he has a deep understanding of the journey toward higher education. Born in the Dominican Republic and settling in Lawrence Mass in 2003, Mr. Gonzalez's personal experience infuses his role with cultural sensitivity and relatability.
Educated at Lawrence High School and Framingham State University, Mr. Gonzalez boasts a comprehensive background encompassing teaching, college admissions, as well as college and career counseling. His professional journey includes being a former teacher/counselor at Spark Academy, where he mentored 7th and 8th graders. Additionally, he was a senior admissions counselor at Merrimack College, supporting Pioneer Scholars and students across the country.

Juan Lenin Paredes works in education with a strong focus on student support and engagement. As an architect with over ten years of professional experience, he brings a practical, structured, and goal-oriented perspective that helps new students navigate their academic journey with confidence. His professional background allows him to connect real-world experience with academic expectations, providing guidance, motivation, and meaningful support. He strongly believes in building positive relationships and fostering an inclusive environment where students feel valued, motivated, and prepared for long-term success.
Mr. Walker is an English Literature graduate of Tufts University. He has a background in human services and has been supporting young people as a member of mental health care teams. A native of New Jersey, Mr. Walker has been active in the Lawrence community as a member of many development efforts focused on the further growth of the city since arriving in Lawrence in 2004. Mr. Walker looks forward to helping Lawrence's scholars navigate a pathway to academic achievement by satisfying their intellectual curiosity through hard work and tenacity.
