I thrive on being actively involved in our school community, always seeking opportunities to make learning engaging and enjoyable! Whether it's organizing creative events, leading clubs, or simply adding a touch of fun to daily activities, I believe that a lively and inclusive atmosphere enhances everyone's educational experience. My goal is to inspire positivity and foster a sense of belonging among all students.
Voices in Ink – Poetry & Creative Writing Club
While at John Muir Middle School, I had the joy of leading Voices in Ink, a club where students explored self-expression through poetry, short stories, and spoken word. We hosted open mic days, shared feedback in a supportive circle, and even created a zine to showcase our original work. This club gave students a safe, creative space to be heard, take risks, and connect through their writing.
Spelling Bee Assembly – National Spelling Bee Host
While at John Muir Middle School, I had the honor of organizing and hosting our annual Spelling Bee assembly as part of the Scripps National Spelling Bee program. From coordinating student participants to emceeing the event in front of the entire school, I loved celebrating academic achievement and encouraging confidence in literacy. The energy was electric, and our students impressed everyone with their vocabulary skills and poise under pressure!
After School Intervention
At Sutter Middle School, I actively participated in the after-school academic intervention program designed to support students in strengthening their foundational skills.
