Department Culture

As school leadership teams embark on supporting curriculum implementation, it is critical for the team to think deeply about their vision and culture. Below are several tools and learning resources to support SLTs in achieving the vision and culture milestones.

Progress Monitoring

Curriculum implementation requires effective progress monitoring systems, specifically systems that gather data related to implementation, teacher practice, and student achievement.

A reflection tool for the ILT to examine IM implementation, celebrate successes, and develop a PD plan.

DOI prioritized indicators for each level of implementation; school team implementation, and classroom.

A tool developed by IM to assess the extent to which schools are implementing the IM with integrity.

Vision and Goals

Strong and meaningful collaboration starts with alignment. We recommend that your team of teachers take the time to create a shared vision statement and align goals to that vision to provide purpose and direction for your team in their journey of implementation.

Structures

As teachers, time is our greatest resource. For collaborative planning time to be a good use of this precious resource, it must be consistent, structured, well-planned, and well-facilitated. The tools and resources below can help your team go from wherever you are, to a well-oiled collaborative machine.
