Students must sign in upon entry to the library:

>Middle School students sign in at the table 

>High School Students sign in at the circulation desk.

LIBRARY LUNCHTIME RULES :

• Enter the library quietly 

• Students may eat their lunch at the tables

• When you sit to eat at a table, please keep it clean

• Hold your tray with both hands

• Throw your lunch tray outside

• Do not pile trays on the table

• No walking in or around the library while eating or drinking 

• Food is not allowed in the lounge, computer lab, or the book stacks

• Computers are available through registration only

• Conduct yourself in an orderly manner 

• Communicate respectfully 

• Respect the librarian, the library, and everything accessible in the library. 

• Help maintain the library clean;  bus your food items & pick up your trash

• Help others if you can :)

• NO PROFANITY and no f-bombs.  Your library is a professional environment

• No PDA other than hugging

• Restroom is for Staff only

Outside vs. Inside Behavior

Students who bring outside behavior into the library will be asked to leave for the day. 

Students are always welcome to return the next day.  

Outside behavior  includes any of the following behaviors: 

• Entering the library while eating food or drinking a beverage other than water

• Snacking while walking around with chips and soda and refusing to sit at a table

• Whistling, loud talk, yelling, or attention-seeking behavior

• Table crashing mid-lunch; pulling chairs to create parties greater than 8

• Running, playing tag, roughhousing, and or excessive hugging

• Spreading rumors, speaking about others, or gossiping 

• Having open food items in your backpack and refusing to leave the computer lab or lounge

• Refusing to eat food at the tables

• Arguing with the Librarian about wrongdoing or denying apparent behavior

Laying down on the carpet is not permitted at any time.  Students must sit in a chair at a table to eat, and they should bus their tables after they finish eating their food.
