Dana MS has the honor of being the only middle school that has won an international competition organized by Google, for our use of Sketchup in interdisciplinary PBL's that meet all 7 Golden Standards by the Buck Institute.

Above, you can see a 6th grader combining their skills in iMovie, Screencastify, & Sketchup to create a Tradition Cuban Restaurant that's modernized enough to earn a 4-Star rating from the Green Restaurant Association. As you can see in student's websites, students can also demonstrate their mastery by creating hand sketched perspective drawings that incorporate elements of Historical Connection as well as Environmental Sustainability.

The rendering above was created by Madelyn Heydinger using Roblox. We encourage students to "think outside the box" and devise solutions to problems using a variety of resources. Other students are in process of using Minecraft to demonstrate mastery.
