Hello from the desk of Ms. Crow
Welcome parents , family, and students! I am so excited to showcase what our wonderful 6th Grade STEAM have been doing. In this unprecedented time, students rose to the occasion and adapted to create such a wonderful projects. They are learning real world skills and applying them in their PBL Restaurant Project. They have designed and created such amazing websites that display their innovative thinking! Our students are becoming
entrepreneurs, designers, artists and marketers. Currently students are still working on their projects and this is a little preview of what the 6th graders have been up to. I hope you enjoy and are amazed at what our Mariners have created and accomplished so far in this virtual setting!

THE RESTAURANT PBL PROJECT
THE RESTAURANT PBL PROJECT
A project where students work on over an extended period of time that engages them in solving a real-world problem with relevancy. Students demonstrate their knowledge and skills by creating a Restaurant website as a public product and a Restaurant Pitch presentation for a real audience through cross curricular content.
The Restaurant Project coincides with our mission, "To inspire and cultivate authentic learning experiences that focus on inquiry, real-world applications, and an interdisciplinary approach to encourage students to become life-long learners and problem solvers."
Due to the Pandemic, the project has been altered to adapt to online learning.
