Hello Thomas Starr King Middle School Lions!

My name is Sarah Cerritos. I am a school counselor here at King supporting students in Film and Media 6th-8th grade.

I graduated from California State University of Channel Islands with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I also have my master’s degree in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services with PPS Credential.

This is my third year as a school counselor at King and I am excited to welcome everyone and be a part of a great team. As a counselor, my goal is to provide guidance, resources, personal and academic empowerment and to encourage each student to be an advocate for their own academic and personal life. My role is to serve as a student advocate.

As we continue to navigate this challenging year, I encourage everyone to do their best. As Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there”. I am thrilled to work with each and every one of you and let’s make this year awesome!
