Campos Costanzo Family (from Left to Right): Ms. Campos (Your Counselor), Cynthia(30), Marcus (25), Isabel (21), and Joe (husband)

My name is Andrea Campos and I am the counselor supporting students in Gifted Arts and Technology 6-8th grade. You have a wonderful team of supportive teachers at King and I feel fortunate working with them, you, and your parents.

This is my 9th year at King as a middle school counselor.   I’ve served as a counselor, coach, and English teacher over the span of 20+ years in the LAUSD.  When the opportunity arose to work in the community I live in, I jumped right in.  I have three adult children ages 21, 25, and 30.  My youngest two attended King and chose different high schools in the area that fit their needs and interests. My son attended Marshall High School, class of 2017.  My youngest daughter attended Downtown Business Magnets, class of 2021, and is currently a sophomore in college.

Continuing education and life experiences are valued in our home and I bring my personal and educational experiences and values with me to work. I have a B.A. in Literature from Loyola Marymount University(LMU), a M.A. in Literacy and Language Arts from LMU, and a M.S. in Counseling and P.P.S. credential from University of La Verne; my husband and I traveled the same educational and career pathway. My eldest daughter graduated from University of Chicago with a B.A. in Theater and Performance Studies with a minor in Biology and enjoys traveling; my son graduated from the University of California with a B.A. in English. My youngest daughter is pursing her AA at Pasadena City College; she's interested in illustration and writing.

As a parent and educator, I support my kids' educational journeys and choices in life and look forward to guiding and  working with you this year!
