Greetings, King Starr Middle School Lions! My name is Linda Armstrong and I am the 6,7th and 8th grade Film and Media, Film Starrs Counselor. I hope you had a restful summer, and you’re ready to conquer 6th, 7th and 8th grade grade. Some of you are returning students and some of you are brand new to King, whatever your case may be, I welcome you all to the 2022-2023 school year.

This is my 4th year at King as a school counselor, and I am eternally thankful for this opportunity. Like you, I am a product of LAUSD, I immigrated to the United Staes when I was in 1st grade and I have given back to LAUSD 33 years of service in education and counting. I started out as a teacher assistant, worked my way up to become an English teacher and now, your school counselor. I have made new friends while at King, as I know you will too.

This is definitely an extremely challenging year for all of us, but with the support of your family, teachers, and staff you will all get through this year successfully as you have all the previous years.
