My name is Patty De Leon and I’ve been working at Thomas Starr King Middle School Film and Media Magnet for over nine years. I truly love working at King as I work with an amazing group of counselors and faculty. I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling.

I would like to welcome everyone and hope you had a wonderful summer vacation. I can’t wait to see all our returning students, the many new faces who are new to our school and work with all of you this year!  My goal is to provide support and encouragement for each of you in your middle school journey.  Don’t hesitate to let me know if there’s anything I can do to help during the process. 

I want to encourage you to try your best in everything you do, stay positive, have fun, and keep smiling! You’ll do great! Remember, you can do anything you put your mind to! I’m so excited to watch you grow this coming year and I can’t wait to see all your amazing accomplishments!
