Daryl Hannah is a well known American actress who had been diagnosed with autism at an early age. Some of the movies she participated in were "Splash"(1984), "Kill Bill: Volume 1" (2003), "Kill Bill: Volume 2" (2004), "Blade Runner" (1982). She had publicly spoken about her diagnoses in 2013. Daryl stated that doctors had wanted to put her in an institution, however, she was not willing to be in one. During her early childhood, she would come home from school, go to her room, and cry to herself. Daryl stated that she would cry for "having a bit more of a masculine name and having white hair." She left school and started to pursue her acting career (at 17 years old) by moving to L.A. from Chicago. When the time came around to begin promoting movies Daryl had participated in, she would be terrified. Now, Daryl is an activist and does acting on the side.
