The Environmental Problem with Problem-Solving Opinion Essay
"The Environmental Problem with Problem-Solving" is an example of my advocacy writing. It is an Op-ed I wrote to advocate for living an ecocentric lifestyle as opposed to believing that people need to fix the environment.
I worked for CCOAL to create their web presence. It was a collaborative process, combining CCOAL's advocacy work and my peers and I's technology skill to create a platform that represents them.
I participated in organizing and spoke during a protest against fossil fuel usage in Ohio. Using the Fridays's for the Future protest format, we brought together our high school to protest. Sharing facts, figures, and poetry, we all used our voices to amplify the cause. I closed the protest with a call to action, urging those who care about the state of the Earth and the climate to do what they can to save it.
I was interviewed for the Greater Cleveland Climate Action Network's documentary on Environmental Justice. I shared my views on environmental justice and it's necessity in order to repair inequities and create a more just planet.
