Action Project

I worked with Collective Citizens Organized Against Lead (CCOAL), a grassroots non-profit based in Cleveland, Ohio, that aims to advocate for better policy on lead and provide support for families affected by lead poisoning. When we joined CCOAL, they had a lot of passion and a respected presence in the Cleveland community, but no online presence to represent that. My cohort and I first helped develop their logo, then their Instagram, and finally their website. The process is documented in the story map that I made using GIS. Working with CCOAL has allowed me to gain real-world experience working with an influential, but not yet recognized organization that does hands-on work in the communities that need it.
