As we near Easter, there is a lot to celebrate in the hard work that students are applying to their school work and school life. As our Y11 cohort near our first external examinations, it is great to see the scholarship that is being modelled to the other year groups.
Sancho Acknowledgements
As I have indicated in previous newsletters, attendance to school is vital for your child’s attainment. The tutor groups in each year with the highest attendance in Module 4 are:
Year 7 = 7E
Year 8 = 8E
Year 9 = 9B
Year 10 = 10B
Year 11 = 11E
Both 7E and 8E are at the expected level of 95% attendance for Module 4. Well done!
Sancho College has been awarded the highest amount of merits over the past two Modules. This is excellent to see and I’m really proud of the hard work that students have put in to achieve this. You can access your child’s own behaviour points by logging into the My Child At School App.

9E = Pratik
10B = Parya

Parent Consultation Evenings
Thank you to parents/carers of Y7, 8 and 9 students for your attendance to the recent parent consultation evenings. These evenings provide a platform for detailed conversations about how your child is progressing in each subject and staff value the opportunity to speak to you in person.
Student of the Week
Each week, Sancho tutors will be nominating a student from their tutor group that has shown real endeavour to go above and beyond our LAB values. One student is selected to be Sancho student of the week from these nominations and will be awarded a certificate in Sancho assembly.
PE Uniform
Each week your child wears their PE uniform on the day they have Core PE.
LAB Sports Polo with Academy Crest (a baselayer may be worn under this in cold weather)
LAB Sports Shorts/Skort
LAB Tracksuit bottoms (Or plain navy blue alternative)
LAB Sports Jumper with Academy Crest (Navy Sports Socks
Trainers – (Plimsolls or Converse-style canvas shoes are not appropriate and not permitted).
