We are thrilled to share with you the amazing success of our recent production of Oliver the Musical!
Oliver the Musical, based on the classic Charles Dickens novel "Oliver Twist," tells the story of a young orphan boy who falls in with a gang of pickpockets in Victorian London. The musical is known for its catchy songs, memorable characters, and heartwarming message.
Our production was no exception. The students who took part in the show worked tirelessly to bring the story to life, from the talented actors who portrayed the characters with passion and energy to the dedicated crew members who handled everything from lighting to costumes and stage technicians.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this production a success, from the hardworking students and staff who brought the show to life, to the supportive families and friends who came out to cheer them on. We couldn't have done it without each and every one of you.
If you missed our production of Oliver the Musical, don't worry - there are sure to be many more amazing shows from our talented students in the future.
Keep an eye out for announcements about upcoming productions, and be sure to come out and support these incredible students as they continue to shine on stage.
In my time of acting, dancing and singing, I have learnt many things from participating in our school play. This year we are acting in the play Oliver Twist. I play the role of Ensemble and the second woman and we have practised for a couple of months to perfect our performance for the show. It will take place in leigh academy in the theatre on the 28,,29 and 30th of March.
For me, I have had so much fun performing, practising, and choreographing the scenes of our musical. Although there have been some troubles finding costumes and changing the scenes to make them look better, we improvised and the scenes have turned out so much more amazing! Of course we still need to clean up the dances up and learn all of our lines flawlessly, but we are so close to doing all that. Each and every one of us are trying our hardest to give you all your money's worth - it will be an amazing show and we hope you will enjoy watching us!
Not only is it fun to be acting on the stage but I have also learned more music and drama skills from attending the musical theatre club. I have accomplished so many things and I can't wait to accomplish more!

Extremely proud of our Digital Leaders, who have been working hard to achieve their Level 1 Certificate in Digital Leadership. They have been working extremely hard on putting together a Google Site to showcase their best work across all subjects as part of an E-Learning Journal. An achievement for pupils to look over later on in years and also reflect on what made them achieve the best in these activities.
On Monday 16th January LAB Performing Arts department put on a spectacular variety show, for all to enjoy.
Students were able to present the skills and talents that they have been developing in their classes and extracurricular activities since September. The evening consisted of a range of musical and theatrical pieces, as a whole cast and even some solo performances.
Prior to the performance the students had worked tirelessly to bring this show together. Along with students performing pieces for the showcase, the AV club helped with the backstage, lighting and sound.
Thank you to all involved who helped make the evening such a success. - We are so lucky to have such talent at our Academy and we hope you are looking forward to our next performance
