LAHS NJROTC LETTER REQUIREMENTS
Cadets must complete a season in good standing in order to be eligible for a letter or earn special recognition. All required paperwork must be completed by the required date set by the SNSI/NSI. A cadet may request to be added to the Special Teams and Leadership class (Zero Period) to receive an elective credit. The drill season generally runs from the fall to the early spring when the state, regional, and national competitions take place. Marksmanship runs September through May with optional events throughout the year.
The following criteria will be used to assess a cadet’s eligibility for a letter or special recognition. Final determination will be the decision of the SNSI/NSI.
Marksmanship team members are expected to participate in postal matches, including the Orion League, VFW, SECNAV qualifier, the shoulder to shoulder matches at Early Bird, Duke City, and Border at Santa Fe.
Cadets who abide by the Team Member Contract and all required NJROTC and LAHS policies but do not meet the lettering requirements will be awarded a certificate of participation.
