Prescription drug misuse has become a serious public health problem for adults and teens that can lead to addiction and death from overdose.
Some facts from the National Institute on Drug Abuse:
After marijuana and alcohol, prescription drugs are the most commonly misused substances by Americans age 14 and older.
Teens use for a number of reasons - to get high, to stop pain, or because they think it will help them with school work.
Many teens get drugs from friends and relatives usually without the person knowing.
The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
You can help by securing your medications or by disposing of unused prescriptions any time of year at:

OR Nambe Drugs at 111 Central Park Square during regular business hours.
