Hi, I’m Emily Comrie and I’m one of the 5 Year Team Captains. I wanted to be a part of leadership to help offer the best opportunities possible for S5s and to help them feel supported as they enter a new year with new experiences.
Hello, I'm Lewis Aikman and I'm a member of the Nurture Year Team. I started being a user of the Diner and Study, two of the school's Nurture spaces. I joined the Leadership Academy to use my knowledge and my first hand experience with the Diner and Study to help younger pupils that might be going through the same experiences I once had in BGE.
I’m Lily Strachan and I look forward to providing an accessible and welcoming environment for pupils, and engaging with the nurture spaces within the school.
I’m Lauren Anderson and I wanted to be involved in leadership because I believe that all pupils should be properly represented, and given equal opportunity to achieve.
I’m Sophie Carling and I am a Nurture Year Team Captain but mainly based in Targeted Support. I am looking forward to helping pupils who may need extra support in order to help them achieve their national units. I will also strive to improve their confidence and communication skills to prepare them for the future.
I’m Ellie Griffin and I was interested in being a Captain as I wanted to improve the communication between pupils and teachers. I will enjoy building relationships with the pupils to allow them to see us as people they can trust.
Our aims this year:
To work closely with teachers in the Study, and continue the effective support it provides to pupils as a calm space to work.
To help pupils achieve various qualifications.
To provide a safe space for pupils to study in the run up to exams.
To give advice and guidance to S1s in their first year at Larbert High.
