LHS Journeys Leadership Academy Captains:
Hi everyone, I’m Hannah Gardiner and was interested in becoming a Captain because I want to make a positive difference in Larbert High before I leave. I joined LHS Journeys in order to help increase the chance that pupils in Larbert High school reach a positive destination after they leave school.
Hi, I’m Jennifer Macdonald and I joined LHS Journeys to try and help raise students' awareness of what support is available to them regarding positive destinations.
Hello, my name is Kai Blackmore. I’ve chosen to become a part of LHS Journeys to help adapt younger pupils' knowledge of possible careers they may have not been aware of and what they can do now in order to achieve and get excited for not only their futures but coming to school every day.
Hello, I’m Cerys Mckinlay. I chose to be a part of LHS Journeys to be more involved with the students and teachers of Larbert High. I look forward to helping the students with subject choices, and helping them go into a positive destination when they leave school.
Hi, my name is Lois Shaw and I chose to be a leadership captain for the LHS Journeys academy as a way to help inform all years about the variety of opportunities there are available to support you throughout high school and reach a positive destination.
Our aims for the year:
Organizing extra-curricular fayres with cadets, guides, and other volunteering opportunities.
Helping senior years with their subject choice and CVs.
Inviting employers into the school to speak at assemblies.
Helping out at positive pathways events, organizing DYW week and Scottish Apprenticeship week.
