Principal's Message:

There has been a lot in the media about the upcoming strikes and what that might mean for schools. As you will already be aware, on these dates, we are going to be moving to a virtual school model with live lessons on Google Meet and learning content being posted on your Google Classrooms. The guide for this for families will be shared on Monday so that you have a comprehensive understanding of how to maintain structure and routine throughout the day. You can expect to see details pertaining suggested timetables, a timetable of live lessons and some further details about how to make it manageable for the whole family. We will have children of key workers and those children considered to be vulnerable attending school and they will be supervised by support staff while accessing the live lessons with their peers. These live lessons will be run by their class teachers or if their teacher is striking, then it will be the class teacher from the other class within the same year group.

The form is now closed for alerting us to keyworker children as we are making plans to meet this demand. This will mean that, on the day, should we have children arrive that we do not have on our list, we will not be able to accommodate them in school.

Thank you for your continued support.

Miss Brading

Office Reminders:

Please note that phone messages cannot be passed to class based staff after 3.00pm at the end of the academy day. At this time, all staff are extremely busy preparing the children for home time and are often frequently leaving the classrooms to visit lockers, toilets and gather belongings.

Should you need to advise the academy that someone else is to be collecting your child or there is a change to their end of day arrangements, you must contact the academy office before 3.00pm. After this time, there is no guarantee that your message will be passed on by office staff who will also, at this time, be dealing with matters in the reception area.

Thank you for your cooperation with this.
