Reception

Discovery Class have been developing their research skills by learning how to use the internet safely to find out facts about the Queen.

In Apollo they have been using technology to record their work. The children have been learning about the Queen for the Jubilee celebrations and drew their own pictures of Corgi's. They then took photos of each others work .

Year 1

Year 1 pupils have been using the iPads to support their phonics learning.

Year 2

This week, Year 2 pupils have used interactive maps to help them map out the Great Fire of London.

Year 3

Year 3 have used Google Slides to create an advert for their sustainable company.

Year 4


This week Year 4 have:

  • Created PowerPoint presentations on their lines of inquiry and presented these to the rest of the class.

  • They have used Google to find relevant images based on the Anglo Saxons and Romans to support their learning.

  • Used Google Images to find Anglo Saxon settlements and used these to create their own.

  • They will be using cameras to record their exhibition on Friday to Year 1.

Year 5

Children in Melrose Class have been researching the History of the United Kingdom by completing a table in Google Slides. They then used this information to create their own, more detailed non-chronological report.

Year 6

From a Geocaching perspective, Year 6 pupils have been using Google Maps, and the built-in functions it has, to measure distance.
