Nursery

The focus for the start of this term will be on basic maths language, with a focus on more than and fewer than. They will also be focusing on positional language and pattern recognition.

Reception

The focus for the start of the term will be looking at "It's Me, 1,2,3!" This focus is on the representation, comparing and composition of the numbers 1,2 and 3.

Year 1

The focus of this term will be on geometry and place value within 20.

Year 2

The focus will be on a variety of adding and subtraction techniques. This will be building on their number bond knowledge from previous learning.

Year 3

The focus will be on adding and subtracting numbers. The new challenge this year will be adding and subtracting across 10.

Year 4

The focus for the start of term will be looking at multiplication and division. This will include children recapping and learning their multiples of 3,6,7,9,11,12.

Year 5

The focus for the start of the term will be looking at statistics. This includes a variety of graphs and time tables.

Year 6

This term, the focus will be on fractions. Fractions in Year 6 gets quite in depth covering many areas. Homework will be used to reinforce learning throughout the term.
