Principal's Message:

Welcome back to Term 2! It's been a really brilliant week with the children being very busy with exciting learning activities. All classes have moved on to their new units of inquiry which I am sure the children have told you about. This term, as part of these units, there are lots of trips and experiences that the children will be engaging with. Thank you for your contributions towards these as, without them, we would be unable to ensure that these happen for the children.

Work was completed over the half term to prepare for the installation of the automated gates. We were expecting more to be completed but inevitably, due to the poor weather, works didn't get as far as we hoped on the car park itself. We have noticed that an increasing number of families, particularly at pick up, are parking in the drop off zone as opposed to filling up the empty parking spaces first. Please avoid doing this.

And finally, you will find some pictures of our Remembrance Day celebrations within this newsletter so please do take a look at these.

National Online Safety Guide

Creepy characters like Slender Man or Huggy Wuggy? Dangerous online challenges? Songs or videos that aren't suitable for young children? When things like these being trending online it can be difficult to prevent children from accidentally stumbling across them - especially if they use a range of platforms such as online games, social media, streaming sites and/or messaging apps. A trend can originate in one online space and rapidly spread to other platforms or via chat apps. The frightening Huggy Wuggy character, for example, first emerged as part of a game on Stream; now there are parody songs on TikTok, vidoes on YouTube and more than 45,000 results for #huggywuggy on Instagram.

In the below guide you will find tips on a number of potential risks such as accidental exposure, inappropriate language and unsuitable videos.
