Willow's Corner

What an amazing first week we have all had being back at school. I hope you all had an amazing summer holiday! You can read all about my holidays here.

This week the children have all been practicing their 'Willow breathing'. This is because when I enter any situation, the children can help me to stay calm by being calm and regulated too! That is what teamwork is all about. The expectations are that when I enter a room, the children are all sitting and concentrating on their breathing skills. The youngest learners in Nursery and Reception have been learning how to do this exceedingly well. In Reception, the children have all been learning how to identify 'one' so they all gave me one treat!

I have been working with Fortune Class to identify what it would feel like to visit the Rainforest after listening to the story 'Dear Teacher'. I am not sure what I would eat though... In Empire Class I was practicing my 'Willow breathing' and I enjoyed listening to Mr Fenton read a story to the children. I have been learning how to dance with Pazazz Class and I even took a little nap in Melrose as I was feeling so relaxed! In Enterprise Class this week I met Ms Barrett's bunnies Ben and Jerry! I really like them, I think we are going to be good friends! I have been working with Enterprise to teach them about growing from a puppy to a dog and to understand the sense of personal time. I joined Ambrosia Class and modelled how to use their calm corner. I felt very relaxed in there! Jubilee Class helped me to remember all of my commands this week! I loved how confident they were! Pheww, and that is just our first full week back!
