Maths

This week, all pupils at Langley Park Primary Academy have started on their Maths journey for the year looking and have been looking at place value. Throughout the school, all children have been using a range of manipulatives. The buzz around the learning for maths has been excellent, with engagement starting how we mean for it to go on.

Times Table Rock Star and Numbots: - The TTRS accounts of all pupils in Year 2 through to Year 6 have been moved to their new classes. We advise that children spend around 5 to 10 minutes every evening practising their times tables. It is best used in short bursts, little and often is key! Numbots has been set up for Nursery, Reception and Year 1 pupils. Again, this is best done in short bursts to boost their knowledge of number bonds from 1 - 20.
