Banda is a traditional wind instrument band group. Banda is traditional in many Mexican states.

Mariachi is a musical genre that originated in the 19th century in Mexico. It is native to the region of western Mexico extending as far as SInaloa and Durango and as far south as Guerrero. Mariachi groups are well known for their common attire; belt, wide bow, sombrero, and short boots. Instruments that are used include:vihuela, guitar, trumpet, violin, and guitarron. Their songs speak about machismo, love, betrayal, death, women, etc.

Tamborazo is traditional in the state of Zacatecas. It is a group comprised typically with less people than in Banda. This music is predomintaly wind instrument music, and played in different events like Mexican rodeos, family gatherings, and big celebrations likes sweet fifteens and weddings.
