It’s time for our annual Holiday Homeroom Challenge! Each year, McCaskey students and staff bring in non-perishable food items to donate to the Water Street Rescue Mission. Over the past 20 years, McCaskey has collected more than 100,000 pounds of food. When we all work together, every little bit counts to help make a big difference. You can start bringing in your food donations now to your first period class. Donations will be collected on December 18th. Any class that brings in 75 pounds of food will win doughnuts. And, any class that brings in 250 pounds will win a pizza party. Let’s all work together to make a big impact.
The McCaskey Mitten Tree needs your help to grow! You can make a positive difference this holiday season by bringing in warm mittens, gloves, and hats to donate to Families in Transition. Drop off your donations in either I.M.C. between now and the holiday break.
Burning Glass will have two more meetings before the winter break. You can join them this Wednesday and then again on December 17th. They’ll meet after school in East D115 from 33:15-4:30. Also, you can also start making your submissions. If you have art work, photographs, poetry, or other creative writings, click here to submit for your chance to have your work published.
Our Student I.T. Help Desk is now officially open! This is a place where students and staff can come for assistance. Students can get help with any tech issue, and staff can come for simple fixes. The student Help Desk is student-run and is open every school day during periods 3-10 in East A103. You do not need to submit a ticket or make an appointment first.

Did you know that P.B.I.S. stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports? This is the way that a lot of schools look to reward students for doing the right thing instead of punishing those who do the wrong thing. Our staff members are always looking to give students P.B.I.S points for being responsible, respectful, and safe. So, make sure you keep doing the right thing. And, remember, to check your point balance! You can use your points to get cool stuff from the Tornado Zone on Thursdays during lunch.
Are you having trouble with SAVVAS or Google applications in Schoology on your iPad? There's something that might help! Try the helpful tips shown in this image to see if it fixes the problem before submitting an IT HelpDesk ticket.
McCaskey Campus is proud to support students on their educational journeys. One way McCaskey does this is by encouraging students to take college classes while they are still in high school. The School District of Lancaster covers the cost of one college course per semester for any qualifying student through “dual enrollment”. SDoL is the ONLY district in Lancaster County that offers this unique benefit. There are a lot of college partners to choose from. To participate, you must meet the following qualifications: Have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Students with a lower GPA may be able to participate but require special approval from McCaskey Campus administration. Counselor and high school administration approval. Some college partners have additional requirements. Are you interested? Talk with your counselor about dual enrollment today.
