Dickinson College is hosting another Knowledge for Freedom Seminar this summer July 12th - 24th. If you’re currently a junior, you should consider this free, two-week experience that will help prepare you for college. Previous participants have been accepted at some of the nation’s most highly selective colleges. The trip offers college credit and also includes field trips to Gettysburg and Washington D.C. Interested students should see Dr. Mealy in East B122 and apply before May 31st.
Navigating life after graduation can be tough. That’s why our school’s offering the first-ever Life After McCaskey Fair. Seniors are invited to attend this event to learn basic life skills, such as balancing a checkbook, changing a tire, jumpstarting a car, and other helpful life tips. Save the date for April 1st. This event runs from 8:30am-2:30pm in the J.P. gym.
McCaskey Campus is proud to support students on their educational journeys. One way McCaskey does this is by encouraging students to take college classes while they are still in high school. The School District of Lancaster covers the cost of one college course per semester for any qualifying student through “dual enrollment”. SDoL is the ONLY district in Lancaster County that offers this unique benefit. There are a lot of college partners to choose from. To participate, you must have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Students with a lower GPA may be able to participate but would require special approval from McCaskey Campus administration. Some college partners have additional requirements. Are you interested? Talk with your counselor about dual enrollment today!
