Every year at McCaskey, we celebrate the next steps of our graduating class. If you’re a senior with post-graduation plans, our Future Ready Center would love to hear from you. Scan the Q.R. code to R.S.V.P. if you plan to attend this year’s Next Steps Ceremony. The event will be on May 20th during periods 9 and 10. It will begin in the J.P. auditorium and then will head to Victory Field for games, raffles, and more!
Dickinson College is hosting another Knowledge for Freedom Seminar this summer July 12th - 24th. If you’re currently a junior, you should consider this free, two-week experience that will help prepare you for college. Previous participants have been accepted at some of the nation’s most highly selective colleges. The trip offers college credit and also includes field trips to Gettysburg and Washington D.C. Interested students should see Dr. Mealy in East B122 and apply before May 31st.
McCaskey Campus is proud to support students on their educational journeys. One way McCaskey does this is by encouraging students to take college classes while they are still in high school. The School District of Lancaster covers the cost of one college course per semester for any qualifying student through “dual enrollment”. SDoL is the ONLY district in Lancaster County that offers this unique benefit. There are a lot of college partners to choose from. To participate, you must have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Students with a lower GPA may be able to participate but would require special approval from McCaskey Campus administration. Some college partners have additional requirements. Are you interested? Talk with your counselor about dual enrollment today!
