This course introduces students to the structure of medical terms, including prefixes, suffixes, root words, and combining forms. Using the Dean Vaughn Medical Terminology 350 (2nd Edition) video series, students will learn a simplified and mnemonic-based approach to memorizing and understanding medical language. Every third week, students will contribute to a "Disease Book" — a student-created reference project designed to reinforce terminology through research, illustration, and presentation.
