• At the end of the year, your students will have a big project that will ask them to research a person of their choosing and have a big presentation where they will pretend to be that person

• Currently, we are reading different pieces of folklore, myths, tall tales, and fables

  • They have started writing tall tales

    • T - Trickery

    • A - Adventures

    • L - Larger-than-Life personalities

    • E - Exaggeration

• We will be focusing on where these stories come from, and why they were written/told

• By end of November, we will begin to read The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank

Social Studies:

• US History

  • We have just finished talking about the French and Indian War, and we will begin to talk about the lead up to the Revolution

• By the end of the year we will talk about the Civil War

• At the end of the year, your students will have a big project (they will work on this for the entire year) that will ask them to research a person of their choosing, and have a big presentation where they will pretend to be that person
