This video is a nice review of scientific notation. It's also kind of funny.
- If the exponent is a positive number, then it means a bigger number (move decimal to the right).
- If the exponent is a negative number then it means a smaller number (move decimal to the left).
- When multiplying numbers with exponents, ADD the exponents.
- When dividing numbers with exponents, SUBTRACT the exponents.
