Tech Help

Emailing helpdesk@lakeland272.org is the best way to ask for tech help if it isn’t something I can fix. You can always email me first or email help desk and me at the same time. Our tech department has been working hard to support us! Please type LOA and a short description of your problem in the subject line and your child's first and last name in the body of the email.

Class Blog

March 22nd - 25th

Hello!

Spring Break

Next week: March 29th - April 2nd. (Friday, March 26th is a teacher work day, so no school for students that day either.)

Student Led Conferences

Thank you again for making time to celebrate your child's growth at during a student led conference! I am glad that so many of you enjoyed having some time set aside to talk about school. I hope that you can continue those conversations as we wrap up Quarter 3!

No Missing Assignments?

Any students who have no missing assignments will earn a special reward. We will brainstorm what we would like to do.

4 schools day left in Q3!

How to Log into Skyward to Access Report Cards, check grades, and check for missing assignments

Check Skyward and check for missing assignments in Google Classroom. As always, let me know if you have any questions. The end of 3rd quarter is this Thursday. I will take missing assignments on Friday. It is a teacher work day (no school for students.) I can take missing assignments during Spring Break as well, if you contact me for an extension.

ELA, Science, and Social Studies from 10:00-12:00

We will be working on an ELA, Science, and Social Studies projects this week from 10:00 - 12:00.

ELA

Students should have finished their timed writing. I did give some extensions for those who missed some of our classes last week or had internet issues. If they have an extension, they should be turning that in by Thursday. Students should also turn in their book projects by Thursday.

Book projects are due Thursday. No reading logs this week (unless they need to make up missing reading logs or finish their book for their book project.)

If you still have "Wrinkle in Time" or "The Giver," please return them to LJHS. Please keep "Journey to the Center of the Earth." We will read that after we are done with our Book projects.

IStation Assessment

This week will be our monthly check up for IStation (reading). Please remind students to take their time, do their best, do not stress, and take breaks as needed.

Science

We will be learning more about the scientific method. Next quarter students will be participating in a science fair kind of project.

Social Studies

We will also be working on a Social Studies project that will be due Wednesday and we will present them on Thursday. Students will be making travel brochures that focus on the 5 themes of Geography. It can be based on current times or the past. They can also include folklore from the location.

Math

AM: Finish the 6.4 test or practice test and any missing i-Ready lessons or missing math assignments.

PM: We are continuing to work on 6.4.

i-Ready Assessment

Some students still need to do their monthly check up from last week. Please remind them to take their time, do their best, do not stress, and take breaks as needed.

Typing Logs

We will take a break from typing logs for the rest of Quarter 3.
