Scholarship committees are looking for students who give back to their community

Community service will increase your chances of getting scholarship $$$ and potentially give you an edge over students who don’t have any community service experience.  Some scholarships require it.

Other community service options:

• • • Rathdrum Parks and Rec - referee or volunteer for one of many of their events

    • Kootenai Health Teen Volunteer Program (summer and school year)

    • Retirement Centers

    • Humane Society

    • Triathlon or other race events

    • Clean ups

    • Food Bank

    • So many others - not JUST the 1 hour responsibilities that are required of a club or sport….but definitely do keep track of these hours as well
