Week 6- tch
Week 5- ck Spelling Rule
The ck spelling rule helps us know when to use ck at the end of a word. We usually use ck after a short vowel sound in a one-syllable word. The letters c and k work together to make the /k/ sound.
Week 3 Soft 'g'
The soft g rule helps us know when the letter g will sound soft. When g comes before the letters e, i, or y, it usually makes the soft /j/ sound. For example, in the words gem, giraffe, and gym, the letter g sounds like j.
Week 2: Soft C
The soft c rule helps us know when the letter c will sound soft. When c comes before the letters e, i, or y, it usually makes the soft /s/ sound. For example, in the words cent, circle, and cycle, the letter c sounds like s.
