Weekly Update #3

Good afternoon team!


I hope all of you are relaxing in this beautiful weather after a great time trial this morning! I first want to say congrats to all of you that participated in your first official unofficial XC race! Next week it gets real!


Team Time Trial Results

Congrats on a great time trial. Team black finished in first place with 37 points, just 4 points ahead of team blue. It was a close race all around and it was so fun getting to see all of you really pushing yourselves! You will find time and place results from the 4K race on the results page.


Workouts this week

Monday 8/26 2:50-5:00pm - workout on LMS fields

Tuesday 8/27 2:50-4:45pm - 4-7 mile long run

Wednesday 8/28 6:05-7:00am - optional pool workout @ HS pool (I am still waiting to hear if we can get in the pool on this morning)

Wednesday 8/28 2:50-5:15pm - Cella hill workout

Thursday 8/29 2:50-4:15pm - 2 mile recovery run and team meeting in Coach Strayhorn's room

Friday 8/30 2:30pm - Eureka Brookdale Farms Invite

Saturday 8/31 time TBA - captain led team long run at park TBA

Sunday 9/1 - rest day

Monday 9/2 - 4-7 mile long run on your own


Volunteers Needed!!

Coach Spewak is in need of volunteers to help with the Ladue Running club for kids. Some of you participated in this club when you were younger and he would love to have you there (even if you did not participate before) to help inspire our young runners. The team meets Mon & Weds - 5:30pm to 6:30pm @ Tilles Park. Also, please encourage your younger siblings and friends to join! You can find details here. Pasta Dinners and Team Snacks

Parents, please use the links to sign up to host or assist at our team pasta dinners and to bring meet snacks to our races. We ask that all parents sign up to help at least once! As a reminder, we still need a host home and volunteer assistants for this Thursday's pasta dinner as well as Friday's meet snacks. Thanks in advance!
