S-215 Fire Operations in the Wildland Urban Interface
This course is designed to assist structure and wildland firefighters who will be making tactical decisions when confronting wildland fire that threatens life and property in the interface. Topics include size up, interface awareness, initial strategy, structure triage and protection tactics. This will be a 3 day class.

S-230/231 Engine Boss/Crew Boss
This course is designed to produce student proficiency in the performance of the duties associated with ENGB/CRWB. Topics include Engine and Crew capabilities and limitations, Operational leadership tactics, Fire size up considerations, Entrapment avoidance, Demobilization, and post incident responsibilities for the single resource boss position from initial dispatch through demobilization to the home unit. This will be a 4 day blended course.

AH-330 Strike Team/Task Force Leader- All Hazards
This course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed to perform in the position of Strike Team/Task Force Leader. Topics include position overview; pre-deployment responsibilities; concept of the position; resource typing standards; pre-dispatch preparation; incident responsibilities; administration; supervision; response; assignment; demobilization; tactics and safety; risk management; entrapment avoidance; wildland urban interface; case studies; scenarios; appropriate action vs. freelancing. This will be a 4 day class.
Prerequisites: Qualified in any single resource boss.

This course covers aircraft types and capabilities, aviation management and safety for flying in and working with agency aircraft, tactical and logistical uses of aircraft, and requirements for helicopter take-off and landing areas. This will be a 2 day class.

This is a combined classroom/field course designed to provide student proficiency in all areas of the tactical and logistical use of helicopters to achieve efficiency and standardization. Topics include aviation safety, aircraft capabilities and limitations, aviation life support equipment, aviation mishap reporting, pre-flight checklist and briefing/debriefing, aviation transportation of hazardous materials, crash survival, helicopter operations, helicopter field exercise.
