The only common areas in La Buena Vida Estates are the roads, the entrance on Craycroft, and the median on Camino del Celador. There are no playgrounds, club houses, pool, or picnic areas such as are found in more recently developed subdivisions.
La Buena Vida Estates was first platted in 1968, before it became the practice among land developers to declare common areas in drainage features.
In La Buena Vida, washes and the open desert between the houses are private property. They are owned by various lot owners as defined by the lot lines. Accordingly, all lot owners are responsible for clearing all vegetation 18" from the curb or street and removing all mistletoe, buffelgrass and/or dead vegetation from their property.
