This week please help get students started by walking them through the presentation and showing a few previews.

This is an anonymous survey to help the Teacher Advisory Committee prepare for Pride Month.
Please read through the survey with them and provide examples.
Examples:
During our advisory Pride Month lessons, is there something you would like your classmates to learn?
I wish my classmates knew how to use they/them pronouns.
Is there a website, video, or source that you would like the Pride Committee to consider using?
Instagram and Tiktok accounts count!
Is there a topic you would like to learn more about during Pride Month?
What do the flags mean? How can I become a better ally? Etc.
May 31 - June 4
Have a class discussion about the films students saw during AAPI month, click the link below for guiding questions.

Happy Pride month! Start the class by showing students the video below created by our own Labbies, Hannah Yudiski, Leo Gottesman, and Katori Martin. After the video hold space for clarifications, questions, or comments.
Then introduce the advocacy project to the students, feel free to share the video and Google Doc with them. Students may work with partners or by themselves. It is up to you how you want the students to turn in their projects. However, we suggest setting up a Padlet since it allows students to see and comment on each other's work.
