General Information

BICYCLES 

Bicycles and skateboards are not allowed inside the school building for any reason.  Students should always lock their bicycles in the bike racks provided on the Delaware Road side of the building.  The school is not responsible for bicycles left on campus.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast will be available daily from 7:40- 8:00 am.

CONDUCT

Standards in academics and behavior during the summer are governed by Ken-Ton School District Policy and are identical to  those enforced during the regular school year. Each student is expected to demonstrate the self-discipline and positive attitude necessary to succeed. Students can and will be suspended by a summer school administrator for an infraction of the district’s student Code of Conduct.

EFFORT

Students are expected to participate in class, take notes, complete assignments, and prepare for quizzes and tests. Students whose effort in summer school is unsatisfactory can expect difficulty understanding course material, lower grades, and in extreme cases a loss of academic credit for the course.

LIBRARY

Students are encouraged to use the library for research, studying, or borrowing. Our Summer physical library is in room 325, and is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The virtual library is open 24 hours per day. 

LOCKERS

Lockers are not available for use by summer school students.

LUNCH

Lunches will be available on a limited. Lunches will be pre-ordered during block 1 each day. 

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

The health office is open from 7:30 am-12:30 pm on days when Summer School is in session.

PROGRESS AND REPORT CARDS

Students and families may track their progress via Infinite Campus throughout the summer. Students who attend private and parochial schools will receive a copy of their summer report via US mail after August 21.

TRANSPORTATION

Students living more than 1.0 miles from Kenmore West are eligible for bus transportation.

There will be two bus runs; one with a morning drop off at Kenmore West at 8:00 am, and a 12:20 pm pickup at Kenmore West.  After July 7, the district transportation department will notify students via shoutpoint of the bus stops.
