Common Drug Interactions:

A drug interaction is a reaction between two (or more) drugs or between a drug and a food, beverage, or supplement. 

Top drug interactions you need to know:

1. ACE-Inhibitors + Potassium elevating drugs = Hyperkalemia

2. Omeprazole + Clopidogrel = Decrease Clopidogrel efficacy

3. Doxycycline + Isotretinoin = Cause increased intracranial pressure

4. Nifedipine + Nitrate = Cause vasodilation and Hypotension

5. Warfarin + NSAIDs = Increase the risk of GI bleeding

6. Azithromycin + Antihistamines = Cause severe chest pain and Prolong QT interval

7. Furosemide + Gentamycin = May lead hearing loss

8. Metronidazole + Mebendazole = increase risk of developing Stevens–Johnson syndrome.

9. Digoxin + Loop or Thiazide diuretics = Increase Digoxin toxicity

10. Ceftriaxone + Ringer lactate = Increase risk of precipitation of ceftriaxone-calcium.

11. Grapefruit + Statins = Increases blood level of Statins.
