Teachers who would like to adopt a new textbook or resource district wide must complete the attached Textbook Adoption Request and have building administrative approval before submitting the request to Instructional Programs. Listed below are the steps for an adoption.

c. Contact Instructional Programs to Request samples
d. Review making sure it aligns to standards
e. Recommend to ILT/SLT/Administrator
2. Building Administration
a. Review request
b. Approve and forward to Instructional Programs
3. Instructional Programs
a. Review
b. Contact building to verify teacher and student count for ordering
c. Contacts the company to request quote
d. Presents to Board of Education Curriculum Committee
e. Enters purchase order for materials
f. Schedules professional development needed for successful implementation
4. Building
a. Receives textbooks/resources – verifies quantities against PO
b. Receives PO in Skyward
c. Tags and enters textbook in Destiny Textbook Manager
d. Distributes to Teachers
5. Teachers
a. Once approved and teacher’s editions are received, begin working on implementation for new materials (curriculum, lesson plans, etc.)
b. Distribute textbooks to students
