Most students find that the biggest challenge with their Chromebook is remembering to bring them back to school charged and ready for use each day. It is expected that you have your charged Chromebook with you each day to be used in class - without it, you may end up having to work on in-class assignments on your own time while at home.
You will check out a Chromebook, a charging cable, and a Chromebook cover. The Chromebook cover should remain on your Chromebook to protect it from damage.
In 2018, our community voted to support a four-year technology levy that will provide a digital device to every student in the district by the year 2022. They renewed our commitment to technology in the 2022 Levy as well. In elementary school, students were able to use Chromebooks from a classroom set, but in middle school they will have a Chromebook checked out specifically to them.
Chromebooks should be charged daily and we recommend they are kept in a public space at your house (to assist students in learning healthy technology boundaries).
