I think that deforestation is a growing issue that could be solved with the help of the community. I drew a recycle tree with some markers and watercolor, but what makes my art unique is I drew it on homemade recycled paper. I learned how to turn old, used paper into new, useable pages. I also included a little visual instruction sheet that I drew, so that other people can make recycle their paper and help solve deforestation.
My passion is basketball, and I know that people around the world is inspired by the sport and the people who play/ed it. Such as Kobe Bryant. I wanted to show an art piece that has a mixture of people from different places all surrounded a basketball. -Mahalo!

The passion I chose is art. Ever since I was little I have always loved drawing and other art forms. For the pieces I chose to show, they all have a different inspiration behind them. The bottom two drawings (the Kylo Ren and the flash) were for pretty simple reasons. For the Kylo Ren it was my first time doing a scratchboard and I wanted to do something with shape and shades. The Flash was a similar reason but on a normal paper. The rose painting was to show the different perspectives people have on various things, for this one it's just a simple perspective on a rose (inside the triangle is a different view than outside the triangle. The skeleton hand idea I got from one of my friends. They told me to draw a hand but didn't give any specific instructions, so I decided to make the idea my own and used what he gave me while going outside the box a little.
One of my passions is photography. I love taking photos of the environment and of people because it can capture a special moment in time. This photo that I took is of my 6th grade ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi Teacher, Kumu Kalehua. I took this photo at the march to the castle because she looked so proud to be Hawaiian, I just had to capture that moment.
Another one of my passions is art. I love to paint, draw, sketch, etc. Art is just a way for me to escape reality and to paints what I want to see, whether it's a beautiful sunset on a beach or a portrait of someone that inspires me. Art also calms me because it doesn't have to be perfect and when you make a mistake you can just paint over it.
My passion is art. I do all kinds of art styles with different mediums and I especially love sketching.
I've always loved art, and for this contest, it was either gonna be me singing or a piece of art. As a person who gets bored awfully easy, I view the world as kind of bland or colorless. It makes me sad to hear stories of how everything used to be, but the world around me is so different. To create a happy place for myself and other people like me I drew and colored this. There's no name, there is no certain explanation for it, just colors and a feeling of excitement. I hope this will make people happy, win or lose. Mahalo
My drawing is about my love for the ocean. I go to the beach so many times a week, and to me, it's my safe place. It makes me feel at home. I love to surf, and so in this drawing you can see me on a wave. Some parts of the mountain have not yet been touched by sunlight, that's why some of the mountain ridges are dark. Also, this drawing is based off of Hanalei bay, where I surf a lot. This is exactly what it looks like from the beach view. Mahalo for taking your time to read this.
This is a painting/drawing of all of my passions combined into one art piece. There are many meʻs in a room doing all of my favorite things. Some examples are drawing, painting, reading, and doing homework. It is almost given a scrapbook like look because there are small drawings and post-its stuck onto the canvas because those things are small but look very cute to me. The whole are piece represents me and what I like to do.
One of my passions is doing artwork. To me it doesn't matter what type of art it is. I like painting, watercolor, sketching. Another one of my passions is just the ocean. All things that have to do with the ocean. One ocean sport I do is surfing. I decided to put both of my passions together and make a painting of waves. You can see that in my painting I used a lot of lines. One of my strongest types of artwork is using lines. I wanted to do something with my passions and this is what I came up with. Iʻm really proud of my painting and will most likely continue to do more paintings on my other passions.
My passion is drawing/art in general. I love drawing and coloring especially. I have sent in a few of my drawings and a time-lapse of me drawing some characters. (girl with pink shirt is Neptune) (blue shirt is Uranus [itʻs pronounced ur-ran-iss]) (green hair is Peridot the leo)
My passion, this is a vision board I have put together. I gathered these pictures from books, magazines, news papers etc. On this vision board you will find a lot to do with ʻāina and Hawaiʻi. I chose to put those on because of my passion to perpetuate the lāhui Hawaiʻi through the sharing of ʻike and hana noʻeau. Like working at the fishpond or speaking ʻōlelo hawaiʻi, as shown on the vision board. I hope my passion will inspire others to find theirs. For my passion is my---puʻuhōnua.
Painting is something I do on my free time itʻs pretty calming for me and I like doing it. I wouldn't fully call it a passion of mine just really like it and I would say that Iʻm pretty okay at it.
My passion is my family and friends. My family and friends have made the biggest impact in my life. My family puts a roof over my head and food in my stomach and my friends are always there for me and know how to make me smile.
I chose to do a drawing. In the drawing, it shows many of my passions. First off, dancing, then traveling, and also New York. The theme of my drawing is "Dancing The Night Away In New York". As you can see the city in the back, the dancer on top of the bridge, the bright big moon, and the word "New York" in the bottom right corner. My main emphasis was on the moon to show you guys the time of the day it was and to kind of give it that night chill mood. Also, of course, drawing is another passion of mine which is why I chose to submit my entry as a piece of art.
