The AI Educator Playbook is produced by the Kingsway Regional School District to provide our school community with guidance on using generative AI ethically and effectively in grade 7-12 classrooms. This resource is maintained by the district’s instructional coaching team & AI sub-committee. It was last updated on September 2, 2025. Our goal is to support teachers in integrating AI tools responsibly, ensuring equity, privacy, and student‑centered learning.
The Kingsway Regional School District embraces artificial intelligence (AI). We believe in ethically and thoughtfully leveraging AI as a vehicle to support and personalize the learning process and improve educational processes. Our stance aligns with the District’s vision to prepare each student for their unique path and our core values to foster a student-centered approach and promote continuous growth.
We aim to empower students to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape while maintaining the highest academic ethics and integrity standards. Through a commitment to integrating AI technologies responsibly, we operate with a human-centric approach, within the framework of our current Board of Education policies, and adhere to the academic integrity practices outlined in the student handbook.
The transformative potential and broad application of AI will require our students and educators to call upon a conceptual understanding of AI and new skills to thrive as learners, workers, creators, and citizens.
"We must ensure that such technologies are employed to augment human capabilities, not to replace them, to preserve the inherently relational and emotional aspects of teaching and learning."
