Clear Direction

The capacity to define and clearly communicate to stakeholders the direction, mission, and goals that the institution is committed to achieving.

The school's mission statement was written by a committee of board members, administrators, teachers, students, and parents/guardians. The mission statement is recited at the beginning of every board of education meeting and is available on the school's website and posted in the classrooms.

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBiS) goals and expectations are included in the Western Nebraska Observer, district newsletter, school website, Canvas home pages, and student welcome packets. These are posted in all buildings, including classrooms, and new families receive these when they enter the district. There is also a teacher shared folder on the district network for staff to access PBiS expectations. These expectations, including classrooms, assemblies, games, concerts, etc., are reviewed at the beginning of school each year and periodically throughout the year.

The Continuous Improvement (CIP) committee, consisting of administrators, teachers, and parents, wrote the goal for Kimball Public Schools and is posted in classrooms and throughout the school buildings.

Teacher in-services are centered on instructional needs so that all staff are focusing on the same goals.

As a result of our efforts, stakeholders in the community support our school through donations, attendance at events, and sponsorship through school activities and scholarships.
