Book Bus, Book Holds, Book Bins ~ Many Ways to Get a Book

This fall, students can check out books different ways, depending on their grade.

Either myself, or your classroom teacher, will bring books to your classroom. Books that are returned, will be placed in my snazzy quarantine area. After 72 hours, I will check the books back into the library and put them back on the shelf.

Books will be staying in the classroom, to limit items going back and forth from school and home.

How To Put a Book on Hold ~~

Get to the Virtual Library (on The Hub site homepage) or type: library.kprdsb.ca. At the Virtual Library the password is: kprlibrary.

Go to your backpack and find Destiny Discover. Hint: Gr. 7/8 look under School Library Catalogue.

**The very first time you go into Destiny Discover, you will be prompted to enter the country, province and school. You won't need to do this again.

Search for your book. To put it on hold you must be logged in with your school username and password. (You will be asked for this.) Once you are logged in, you will see the Hold button.

Books at Home

So many students have books checked out. Yah!

I hope you have enjoyed them. Perhaps you have read your book more than once.

Keep track of your books (maybe set them in a special place in your room). We will sort out book returns later.

There will not be any "overdues".

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So many books have been returned this week! Thank you for dropping them off when you, or a family member, picked up your belongings. Books are due two weeks after we return to school.
