We are pleased to inform you of a Year 4 trip to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden. This visits ties in with our topic of ‘The History of the Railways’.
Each class will be going on separate days:
4GT - Wednesday 12th March
4HJ - Wednesday 19th March
4TC - Wednesday 26th March
We will be travelling by train from Queensbury Station.
The children will depart School at 9.15am, and begin the return journey from the Museum at 2pm.
The children will be ready for collection from the playground at the usual time - 3.20pm
Children will need to wear school uniform, and bring a packed lunch.
Your child has the option to order a school packed lunch, or you can provide a packed lunch. We will ask your child if they would like to order a school packed lunch three weeks before the trip.
The cost for the trip is £3. Please make payment and provide permission / consent for your child to attend in the Trips section of the Arbor app.
We have arranged a visit from Teaching Talons, a multi-award winning family run animal encounters mobile zoo on Thursday 7th November.
The children will be treated to an unforgettable learning experience in the School Hall - meeting and handling native and exotic animals and birds. The workshops are linked to our Geography, Science and Literacy curriculum, where the children will be learning about animal adaptations and also writing reports.
The cost of this activity is £3.60. Payment can now be made in the Trips section of the Arbor app.
Please ensure to make payment by Friday, 18th October. If insufficient contributions are received, then the activity may not be able to take place.
Experiences such as this are invaluable to the children’s development, both educationally and culturally, so we thank you for your continued support.
