Maths

This term we will study: -

Length and perimeter
Mass
Capacity

With your child, please practise: 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 times tables and the corresponding divisions. Homework is given out on Fridays.

Literacy

This term we will study:

Poetry: Strange

Non-chronological Report: Pangolins

Narrative Adventure: The Secret of Black Rock by Joe Todd Stanton

Spellings: Spellings are given out on a Friday and will be tested the following Friday. They need to write a sentence for each on Google Classroom

Grammar: Grammar homework from the SPAG book is given out on Fridays

Reading

This term we will study:

Reading skills
Hansel & Gretel
Great Women Who Changed the World

Reading Records will be sent home each week with a book and need to be brought to school on Mondays. Children need to read for about 20 mins a day and fill in their reading record x5 a week. They can use any books as part of their reading record.

MFL

During French lessons this term, children will be learning Les Instruments, Les Fruits

History/Geography/Art/DT

The children will be learning The UK and British Artists

Music

The children will be learning music from other countries, recognising different instruments and their sounds and introducing music notation symbols.

RE

Islam, Good Friday

PE

Pupils will be learning

PSHE

Pupils will be learning Health and Wellbeing, Safety (First Aid, Online Safety, Road Safety, Making Good Choices)

Science

Pupils will be learning Light and Rocks.

In the 2nd week of the Spring term, they have to do a short presentation to the class about LIGHT

Computing

Pupils will be learning Learning how to code, Drawing & desktop publishing
