Preschool: 33 months - the day before Kindergarten
Our Dragonfly, Caterpillar, Butterflies, and Grasshopper (Preschool) rooms support children aged 33 months to 5 years. We offer a daily schedule that supports the development of self-regulation, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning in a supportive and inclusive environment through play-based learning. Our four preschool rooms are designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and social interaction.
Learning through Play Every Day
At Project Kids, our Preschool Programming offers an enriching experience for children aged 33 months to 5 years. Located in the Community Education Building at the Elementary School, we provide full-day care on non-school days, snow days, and throughout the summer.
Preschool Project Kids complements the School Readiness Preschool Classes offered through Community Education. Our goal is to support each child’s development in conjunction with these classes, ensuring they are prepared for a successful start to school.
Our program focuses on:
Social/Emotional Skill Development: Interactive play and guided activities help children express themselves, understand emotions, and build positive relationships.
Music and Movement: Daily sessions enhance rhythm, coordination, and a love for music.
Art: Creative activities foster imagination and fine motor skills.
Literacy: Storytime and early writing promote language skills and a love for reading.
Fine and Large Motor Skills: Activities enhance both fine and large motor development.
Physical Development: Gym sessions, outdoor play, and free play ensure physical growth.
Wrap Around Care
Project Kids provides full-day child care around school readiness classes. We work closely with KoMet Kids & KoMet Connections Preschool teachers to ensure a seamless transition into kindergarten. Our staff focuses on social-emotional development through play, reinforcing and building upon the skills learned in preschool classes.
At Project Beginnings, our caring and qualified staff create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. We are dedicated to fostering a love for learning and ensuring each child reaches their developmental milestones in a supportive setting.
