From the moment children pick up a crayon, they are considered writers. They have a message and they want to share it. We, as their teachers, can help them share that message. This sectional will lead teachers through a child’s emergent writing stages, how to strengthen the fine motor and self-regulation skills needed for writing, and explain a variety of ways to bring life to writing in the classroom throughout the school day.
Becky Lindenberg (1999 Alum of KML) graduated from Martin Luther College in 2003. She obtained her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from MLC in 2013. For the past six years, Becky has been a Professor of Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College. This fall, she will transition to Christ-St. Peter’s Lutheran School, where she will being serving as K3-3rd grade principal. Becky and her husband Erik have two boys, Joe (18) and Jack (15). In her spare time, she loves to read, garden, and play board games with her friends.
